Still Serving—Through the Printed Page

It's been a while since I last sent a ministry update. Thank you for your continued interest, prayers, and encouragement. We are still serving the Lord, and I am grateful for the opportunities He continues to give us.

The main accomplishment I want to share with you is my book on Heaven, Treasures in Heaven. It is available in paperback and hardcover.

This book began with a burden on my heart. As that burden developed, I wanted to put into writing the truths of God’s Word concerning Heaven. What began as a thought became a book that can now be placed into another person’s hands.

My desire goes beyond having someone purchase and read it. I would love to see churches use this book as a gift for visitors—something a visitation team can leave behind during a follow-up in a visitor's home. The gift would help to give fond memories of the church they just visited. My prayer for the book is that the Lord will use it to encourage believers and help others see their need of the Savior.

That desire also helped give shape to a thought I have been calling POWER: Printed Outreach With Eternal Results.

There is POWER in the Printed Page.

A book or Gospel tract can continue speaking after a conversation has ended. Someone can read it in a quiet moment, pick it up again, or pass it along to someone else. We may never know everyone who reads it, but we can pray that the Lord will use the message.

Please pray with us that Treasures in Heaven will find its way into the hands of people who need its message. Pray, too, for wisdom as we explore opportunities to help churches use the printed page in their outreach.

Thank you for remembering us and the work the Lord has entrusted to us.

Lord bless,

Jim Wendorf
